As artistic director for Conchita Wurst’s iconic performance of “Rise like a phoenix” I played a pivotal role in shaping the visual narrative of this unforgettable moment. Tasked with conceptualizing the stage design, lighting, and overall presentation, I worked in tandem with Conchita to bring forth a powerful and emotive performance. My main goal was to make the singer feel comfortable on stage and that she can reproduce her song authentically, just as it is and as it fits. Our collaborative efforts transformed the song into a timeless piece of art, capturing the essence of strength, resilience, and artistic brilliance. Together, we created a visually stunning and emotionally resonant experience that left an indelible mark on the Eurovision Song Contest Stage.
